Antinote is a macOS‑only application designed for quickly capturing short‑lived notes while providing built‑in calculation capabilities. The interface presents plain‑text entries stripped of formatting, allowing users to type, paste, or drag images and then work with the content using features such as automatic link shrinking, contextual math conversions, and reactive variables that enable custom calculators without a spreadsheet.

The tool supports productivity helpers like checklists, a stopwatch, countdown and Pomodoro timer, and a global hotkey for instant access from the dock, menu bar, or keyboard. It can automatically paste copied material, export notes to plain text, Apple Notes, Obsidian, or Bear, and includes search, swipe navigation, and auto‑delete of old entries.

Customization is offered through a theme system with 14 built‑in themes, a Theme Maker for user‑defined looks, custom shortcuts, and keywords. The app emphasizes speed, minimalism, and the ability to perform on‑the‑fly conversions of distances, weights, currencies, and crypto values.
