The program provides a graphical interface for creating, editing, and playing MIDI files. Users can work with multiple visual representations, including traditional staff notation, piano‑keyboard layout, guitar tablature, drum patterns, and generic controller views, allowing quick adjustments with a few clicks. It supports basic sequencing operations such as inserting, moving, and deleting notes, as well as playback control and export of standard MIDI files.

Designed for cross‑platform use, the software runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux/Unix systems. Its interface is localized into several languages, including French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and Russian, making it accessible to a broad international audience. The project is released under the GPL license and is maintained in a stable state.

The tool draws inspiration from the earlier Easy Beat editor and aims to offer a lightweight, user‑friendly alternative for musicians and hobbyists who need straightforward MIDI composition and editing capabilities without requiring a full digital audio workstation.
