Barrier
Open-source KVM software
Barrier provides software‑based KVM functionality, letting a single keyboard and mouse control multiple computers. Users configure one machine as the server and the others as clients; moving the cursor to a screen edge or pressing a shortcut switches input focus. Clipboard contents can be shared across the linked systems.
The program runs on macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, with packages available through typical distro repositories, flatpak, snap and native installers. It is a fork of Synergy 1.9 and maintains a minimal feature set focused on reliable input sharing without additional extensions.
Targeted at users who need seamless control of several desktops from one set of peripherals, Barrier emphasizes ease of setup, cross‑platform compatibility and open development, with all builds and issue tracking publicly visible.
