Clearance

Clearance provides a native macOS application for viewing and editing Markdown documents. The app is built with Swift and Xcode, offering a straightforward interface for creating, previewing, and saving Markdown files on macOS systems. It includes shared assets and a collection of Markdown fixtures that can be reused by other implementations within the same repository.

The project is organized as a monorepo, separating the macOS‑specific code in `apps/macos` from placeholder directories for future Tauri‑based versions targeting Windows, Linux, and Android. Shared resources such as branding and demo corpora reside in `packages/*`, allowing consistent behavior across potential platforms.

Developers can generate, build, and test the macOS app using npm scripts, and the workspace contains documentation for development, release, and contribution guidelines. The software is intended for users who need a simple, local Markdown editor on macOS and for contributors extending the tool to additional environments.
