ClipFlow

Free clipboard history manager with terminal-style navigation.

Source

ClipFlow provides macOS users with a clipboard history manager that records the most recent 50 text and image entries. It presents the history in a small popup that follows the cursor and can be invoked with a global hotkey, allowing users to navigate items using the up and down arrows much like a terminal shell. Selecting an entry pastes it instantly, and unwanted items can be removed with a dedicated shortcut.

The utility is built with Swift for macOS 12+ and runs without requiring internet access or telemetry, storing all data locally and clearing the history when the application quits. Its interface includes image thumbnails, dark‑theme styling, and non‑focusable windows that do not interrupt typing, while supporting multi‑monitor setups.

ClipFlow is open source under the MIT license, distributed as a DMG, Homebrew cask, or source code that can be compiled directly. It requires Accessibility permissions for its global shortcuts and, being unsigned, shows macOS’s “unidentified developer” warning, which can be bypassed once via the system settings.
