CodeCleaner – Cleanup for Developer Macs
A Mac cleaner built specifically for developers
CodeCleaner is a native macOS utility that scans a developer’s machine for hidden caches and build artifacts produced by common development tools. It detects Xcode DerivedData, iOS simulators, Docker images, Colima VMs, Rust Cargo registries, Python virtual environments, Gradle builds, Go modules, Homebrew bottles, and IDE caches from VS Code, Cursor, and JetBrains, then removes them safely to reclaim 50–150 GB of disk space.
The app bundles six specialized functions: a Dev Caches Cleanup, a node_modules scanner, a Project Build Artifact scanner, a Large File finder, a Duplicate File detector, and a Disk Analyzer. Users run a scan, review the items found, and trigger a one‑click cleanup. It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later, supporting both Apple Silicon and Intel hardware.
CodeCleaner targets developers who need to manage the storage impact of their tooling without manually locating and deleting files. A free scan is provided, with a Pro annual subscription required for the cleanup operation.
