DuoConnect

DuoConnect enables users to reach an organization’s SSH servers and RDP hosts without a VPN, provided the organization has deployed Duo Network Gateway. The client runs on 64‑bit Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, and after installation it requires configuration of SSH or RDP settings using connection details supplied by the Duo administrator.

The workflow consists of installing the DuoConnect client on a workstation, then updating the SSH client configuration (for example, PuTTY) or RDP client settings to route traffic through the Duo gateway. The software also includes mechanisms for testing SSH and RDP logins, and it supports optional and required updates to keep the client current.

Windows 11 users affected by the 24H2 feature update must use DuoConnect version 2.0.6 or later to maintain compatibility with RDP and other relay applications. The client is distributed as an installer package with checksum verification, and it is marked as stable for macOS core platforms.
