CARVO
Import management software built for small and medium European importers. Track shipments, manage documents, calculate landed cost, and stay on top of customs deadlines.
The platform provides a single dashboard for small and medium importers across the 27 EU member states, consolidating shipment tracking, document handling, and customs compliance. Users can upload PDFs such as purchase orders, invoices, or bills of lading, and the system extracts structured data and maps it to the corresponding shipment. Real‑time visibility is offered through an animated map that displays the status and location of each consignment, covering ocean, air, and road transport modes.
Cost calculation is performed continuously, incorporating freight, duties, insurance, and handling fees to produce a per‑unit landed cost that updates as new cost items arrive. The tool supports multiple currencies using daily European Central Bank rates and offers several allocation methods to match different pricing strategies. Compliance features include country‑specific customs checklists, deadline countdowns, and notifications to prevent demurrage and other penalties.
Collaboration functions allow team members to request documents, receive smart notifications, and view a daily briefing of import activity. The service is GDPR compliant, offers a free tier, and is currently in an experimental early‑beta stage, with access limited to a small group of founding users.
