GoogleDriveSync

A native macOS menu‑bar utility provides Google Drive synchronization without the overhead of the official client. It runs from the menu bar, automatically handling volume remounts and offering real‑time progress indicators, transfer speeds, and error reporting. The app is lightweight, around 80 MB, and includes a built‑in sync engine based on rclone.

Users can configure any number of local folders to sync with any path on Google Drive, mixing and matching multiple accounts in a single interface. Sync intervals are adjustable from fifteen minutes to daily, and manual syncs can be triggered at any time. Filtering is supported through simple ignore patterns resembling .gitignore syntax, allowing exclusion of specific files or directories.

The software is open‑source and built for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, with native architecture builds and automatic update checks on launch. It requires macOS 14.0 or later and one or more Google Drive accounts, and it operates without external dependencies, daemons, or configuration files.
