HiveTerm

HiveTerm provides a single window that hosts multiple terminal panes, allowing developers to run agents, dev servers, watchers, and test suites side by side. The environment is defined by a single hive.yml file, which can be version‑controlled and shared so that any teammate can reproduce the same setup with a single command. A built‑in MCP server enables agents to communicate locally, spawn sub‑agents, and read each other’s output, while crash recovery and monitoring keep processes under observation.

The workspace is config‑driven: users open a project folder, add agents and commands through the UI or YAML, and then start the swarm. Agents coordinate automatically, notifying the user only when interaction is required, and can send native desktop notifications when tasks finish. The interface also supports voice input, converting speech to text for an agent’s prompt in up to eleven languages.

HiveTerm is offered for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and is positioned as an experimental productivity tool for developers who want a unified environment where AI agents and traditional development tools operate together without juggling separate terminals.
