Iceberg
Integrated packaging environment
Iceberg provides a graphical environment for building macOS installation packages and metapackages that follow Apple’s packaging specifications. Users assemble components, scripts, and files through a familiar interface, then generate packages that can be deployed locally or grouped into a single metapackage for remote distribution tools tools such as Apple Remote Desktop.
The tool targets developers and system administrators who need to create or bundle software installers on macOS, offering panes panes for project settings, documents, scripts, plugins, and file components. Its design mirrors common development environments, allowing users to manage package contents and metadata without manual command‑line work.
Iceberg is released as freeware for macOS 10.2 and later, with source code available under a BSD‑style license. The current stable release (1.3.1) includes a fix for a Yosemite crash and maintains compatibility with standard macOS packaging workflows.
