Native YouTube Music client for macOS.
Kaset provides a macOS‑native interface for YouTube Music, using Swift and SwiftUI to deliver an Apple Music‑style layout with a liquid‑glass player bar and sidebar navigation. It supports full playback of DRM‑protected tracks for YouTube Music Premium subscribers and integrates with macOS system features such as Control Center, media keys, Dock menu controls, and background audio.
The client offers extensive library and playback tools, including search, playlists, liked songs, podcasts, history, and a queue manager. Users can control playback via keyboard shortcuts, AppleScript, and a custom URL scheme, while also benefiting from on‑device AI for natural‑language commands, lyric explanations, and playlist refinement. Additional features include a 6‑band parametric equalizer, haptic feedback on Force Touch trackpads, track notifications, and support for extensions such as uBlock Origin Lite.
Kaset runs on macOS 26.0 or later, is open‑source and free‑tier, and can be installed from GitHub releases or via Homebrew. It is an unofficial application not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
