Laiki

Laiki is an experimental dating utility that replaces traditional swipe‑based matching with an AI‑driven process. It builds a personal profile by analysing a user’s existing digital traces—music preferences, reading habits, calendar events, photos and movement patterns—to infer tastes, rhythms, values and other subtleties. The system then runs an AI that communicates with other users’ AIs, conducting private conversations to identify high‑alignment connections without exposing raw data.

Matches are presented sparingly, typically one or two per week, accompanied by a quantified alignment score and a brief explanation of shared interests, humor, life goals and visual style. If both parties agree, Laiki assists in scheduling a real‑world meeting and then steps aside, emphasizing genuine interaction over endless scrolling.

Privacy is emphasized through on‑device processing where possible and fleeting server‑side analysis that discards raw inputs after extracting meaning. The platform stores only the abstracted portrait of a user, not the underlying personal content, and does not retain archives or use data for training or commercial purposes.
