Lotus
Keep up with GitHub notifications
Lotus provides a macOS‑only interface for managing GitHub notifications, letting users separate important alerts from noise. The Inbox shows only the notifications the user chooses to see, while the Screener catches messages from unknown repositories for later review. Filters let users narrow the view by type or repository, and a search function is available for locating specific items.
The Notification Toolbox offers actions such as marking items as unread without affecting GitHub’s read status, moving notifications to a “Reply Later” queue, bookmarking threads to keep them at the top, and muting individual discussions without blocking entire repositories. Work Hours settings automatically hide work‑related notifications outside of a configurable 9‑to‑5 window, allowing personal alerts to remain visible during off‑hours.
Additional features include a “Read Together” view that aggregates all notifications on a single page and a Focus Zone that applies a Pomodoro‑style workflow to processing alerts repository The tool is positioned for developers who need finer control over GitHub’s notification stream while staying within the macOS environment.
