MacMorpheus

MacMorpheus is a macOS application that plays 3D 180‑ and 360‑degree video content using the PlayStation VR headset. It receives video files in common formats such as MP4, MOV and M4V, and presents them in one of several supported modes, including 2D 180°, 3D 360° horizontal stacked, and 3D 180° vertical side‑by‑side. The software relies on head‑tracking from the PSVR to let users look around the scene while the video runs.

The program is intended for users who have a PlayStation VR setup and want to view immersive video on a Mac. Installation requires connecting the PSVR’s HDMI output to the computer, attaching an additional HDMI display, and linking the headset’s processing box via USB.
