The application lets users create and organize a personal library of scholarly papers, supporting quick import, tagging, and categorization of references. PDFs can be annotated with comments, highlights, and notes, and these annotations are stored alongside the reference in a notebook feature that aggregates a user’s thoughts.

Citation management is provided through an integration that inserts references directly into Microsoft Word, allowing users to select from a range of citation styles and automatically generate bibliographies. The tool synchronizes with a cloud service, enabling access to the same library across multiple devices and platforms.

Existing users of the earlier desktop version can migrate their collections by signing in with their credentials, after which the library is uploaded and kept up‑to‑date. The software runs on macOS 10.15 and later, with comparable versions available for Windows and Linux.
