Nginx Proxy Manager
Docker container for managing Nginx proxy hosts with a simple, powerful interface.
Nginx Proxy Manager is a Docker‑based web application that simplifies the creation and management of Nginx reverse‑proxy hosts. It provides a graphical admin interface where users can add domains, set up redirections, stream services, and configure 404 hosts without needing to edit Nginx configuration files directly. The built‑in Let’s Encrypt integration offers free SSL certificates that are obtained and renewed automatically, while also allowing custom certificates when required.
The tool targets individuals and teams who self‑host web services, such as home networks or small‑to‑medium deployments, and want an easy way to expose those services securely over the internet. Its user management features let multiple accounts share the same instance with configurable permissions, and an audit log records changes for accountability. Advanced users can still access the underlying Nginx configuration for custom tweaks.
Implemented as a pre‑built Docker image, the project requires only a database and a minimal compose file to run. It runs on a stable MIT‑licensed codebase, is open source, and does not depend on any subscription or paid tier. The interface is built on the Tabler UI framework, offering a clean, responsive experience for managing proxy hosts and SSL certificates.
