Noteship
Local-first note-taking app for turning notes into structured knowledge.
The app lets users create and organize notes, todos, and reminders on macOS using a file‑system‑based structure. Each note is stored as an HTML file, allowing the content to be opened directly in a web browser or other tools without the application. Users can nest sub‑notes within other notes, folders, or arbitrary files, building hierarchical outlines for projects such as blog posts, papers, or books.
Links can be created between notes, places, or people, and the system automatically adds bi‑directional backlinks at the bottom of each note, enabling navigation in both directions. A calendar view aggregates notes and reminders, while a spreadsheet view presents CRM‑style details at a glance. The One Page Summary report compiles lessons from multiple notes into a single page for monthly review.
All data resides locally on the Mac, giving users full control and offline access. The format adheres to open standards, ensuring long‑term archival quality and compatibility with other software.
