NVIDIA Sync
Utility for launching applications and containers on remote Linux systems
The utility runs as a system‑tray application on Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu and provides a graphical interface for establishing SSH connections to remote Linux hosts. Users supply a hostname, username, and password (or import an existing SSH alias) and the tool manages key‑based access, port forwarding, and tunnel creation. Once connected, one‑click buttons launch local IDEs such as VS Code, Cursor, or AI Workbench on the remote machine, and custom scripts or web applications can be started through the same interface.
A notable feature is the Custom Application mode, which abstracts the networking details required to run containers or web services on the remote host while presenting them as if they were local. The utility also integrates with Tailscale, allowing secure tunnels to devices on private networks, so remote DGX, GB10, or DGX Station systems can be accessed from any location without manual VPN setup.
The design targets developers and engineers who need to run development environments, data‑science tools, or containerized workloads on remote Linux hardware, especially NVIDIA GPU‑focused devices, while keeping the workflow simple and consistent across operating systems.
