Operational.co
Receive alerts in a live timeline from your product.
Operational.co is an open‑source event tracking system that lets developers send arbitrary JSON events from their product and view them in a live timeline. It supports push notifications to mobile devices and the web app, allowing immediate awareness of sign‑ups, cron jobs, webhook deliveries, login failures and other critical signals. The platform also provides action buttons that can trigger outbound webhooks, and it can nest events to represent complex workflows.
The tool is built for tech products and can be used either through a hosted service or by self‑hosting on a VPS. Self‑hosting options include Docker images and deployments on platforms such as Render.com, and the open‑source version runs with minimal dependencies—Node ≥ 18, MySQL 8.x, Prisma, Express 5.x, Vue 3, Vite, and optional ClickHouse. A lightweight SDK enables ingestion of events with just a few lines of code.
Operational.co is released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, offers a free tier with no subscription requirement, and encourages community contribution via its Discord server and public repositories. It is positioned for developers who need a simple, extensible way to monitor and act on product‑level events in real time.
