Overflow

Overflow provides a visual launcher for macOS that lets users store and open applications, documents, folders, and web URLs from a single, customizable interface. Items from the Finder can be added to collections, allowing infrequently‑used items to be removed from the Dock and accessed with a few mouse clicks or keystrokes. The launcher supports Quick Look previews and full URL handling, and a right‑click menu bar icon offers rapid access to stored entries.

The interface is fully customizable: users can arrange items by dragging, adjust background color, icon size, text size, and spacing, and create separate collections for projects, games, websites, or any other grouping that fits their workflow. A configurable hot‑key instantly opens the window, and typing while it is open searches both the items in Overflow and any file on the computer, with optional category filtering.

Keyboard navigation is extensive. Arrow keys move between items, Return launches the selected entry, and shortcuts such as ⌘‑up/down, ⌘‑number, Space, Option‑Click, and ⌘‑Click provide additional control for selection, preview, opening without closing, and revealing items in Finder.
