Phoenix Slides

Phoenix Slides provides a fast, full‑screen slideshow and image‑browser experience on macOS 10.13 and later. It pre‑caches images for smooth playback, generates thumbnails from EXIF data or embedded JPEG previews, and supports lossless JPEG rotation. Users can view EXIF metadata, JPEG comments, and navigate recursively through subfolders, with drag‑and‑drop and Finder alias integration for easy file handling.

The application includes utilities such as moving files to trash, setting an image as the desktop background, and pausing auto‑advance when navigating backwards. Preferences allow users to default to an in‑window slideshow, ignore the MacBook notch, and control timer behavior. It also offers localized interfaces in Chinese, German, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Developed as a stable, open‑source project, Phoenix Slides is distributed under a free license and available for download directly or via its GitHub repository.
