ProFind delivers fast, comprehensive file searches across any disk on macOS, offering an interface that combines natural‑language queries with traditional criteria such as name, dates, extensions, tags, and regular expressions. Users can limit searches to specific volumes or folders, include invisible directories and packages, and refine results with exclusion terms or hash checks. The app displays full paths with highlighted differences, supports QuickLook previews, and integrates with Finder, the menu bar, and dark mode.

The tool also provides advanced workflow features: saved searches, history, and a configurable favorites sidebar for quick access to frequently used locations. Results can be exported to text or CSV, and found items can be acted upon with shell commands, AppleScripts, or standard macOS services via context menus. Drag‑and‑drop and sharing options further streamline file handling.

A companion iOS app extends the experience to iPhone and iPad, allowing users to search the Mac’s file system over an encrypted local network, download files, and open them in other iOS apps.
