Pulsar
Rich and ready-to-use haptics library
Pulsar is an open‑source library that provides a collection of ready‑to‑use haptic feedback presets for mobile applications. It supplies predefined patterns such as “Bold Rigid,” “Substantial Flexible,” and “Extended FadeOut,” allowing developers to add tactile responses without designing their own waveforms. The library includes a live‑preview playground where users can hear and feel each preset on a connected device, helping them select the most appropriate feedback for a given UI event.
The SDK is available for three major mobile development stacks: iOS with SwiftUI, Android with Kotlin, and cross‑platform React Native. By integrating the appropriate package, developers can invoke the preset haptics with a single API call, reducing the time needed to implement tactile cues for errors, alerts, dismissals, or transitions.
Pulsar also offers documentation and articles that explain the principles of haptic design and guide developers in choosing or customizing patterns. The project is maintained by Software Mansion and is currently in an experimental maturity stage.
