qlplayground

qlplayground is a Quick Look plugin that enables macOS to render previews and thumbnails for Swift source files and Swift playground bundles. When a user selects a .swift or .playground file in Finder, the plugin generates a visual preview with syntax‑highlighted code, using Highlight.js for language‑aware coloring. It also produces small thumbnail images that represent the file’s contents in the file browser.The plugin supports playgrounds containing multiple pages, and users can switch between light and dark highlighting styles via a defaults command. Installation is possible through Homebrew Cask or by manually copying the generator into the user’s QuickLook directory and refreshing the service. qlplayground runs on macOS 10.10.5 or newer and is distributed under the MIT license.
