Radarr

Automatically download movies via Usenet and BitTorrent (fork of Sonarr).

It monitors RSS feeds and indexers for new movies, then coordinates with download clients such as SABnzbd, NZBGet, qBittorrent, Deluge, rTorrent, Transmission, and uTorrent to retrieve, sort, and rename files. The application can automatically upgrade existing library items when a higher‑quality version appears, and it handles failed downloads by blacklisting the problematic release and trying alternatives. Users can also perform manual searches to select specific releases or investigate why a download was not automated.

The software stores extensive metadata—including trailers, ratings, posters, and subtitles—and integrates with media servers like Kodi and Plex to keep libraries up to date and provide notifications. Customizable quality profiles and format rules let users define precise criteria for the releases they accept, supporting special editions, director’s cuts, hard‑coded subtitles, and alternate titles.

Radarr runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, Raspberry Pi, NAS devices, and Docker, and it is available as a self‑hostable, open‑source project under the GPL‑3.0 license. It offers a web‑based UI with calendar views, collection tracking, and frequent updates, making it suitable for individuals who want automated, configurable movie collection management.
