reManager
Desktop app for managing mods on reMarkable tablets
A desktop application provides a graphical interface for managing modifications on reMarkable tablets. It connects to devices via SSH, supporting both password and key‑based authentication, and allows users to browse, install, upgrade, and uninstall packages through the Vellum package manager with automatic dependency handling. The tool also offers maintenance functions such as toggling auto‑updates, setting the system timezone, and executing package‑provided scripts.
Additional utilities include an interactive terminal session, a file browser for transferring files, a WYSIWYG configuration editor with syntax highlighting, and features for importing PDFs and reMarkable documents directly into the tablet’s library. Users can back up and restore the document library and configuration, set PNG images as the sleep screen, and manage OS versions by viewing, installing, or switching between them.
The application runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows, built with Wails (Go and React/TypeScript), and is distributed as flatpak, Homebrew cask, and native binaries. It is licensed under the GNU GPL v3.0.
