Reminders MenuBar

Simple macOS menu bar app to view and interact with reminders.

Source

The application lives in the macOS menu bar and provides direct access to Apple Reminders without opening the full Reminders app. Users can create, edit, and delete reminders, set due dates using natural‑language input, and mark items as completed or uncompleted. It also supports moving reminders between lists, filtering by list or completion status, and viewing upcoming items, all synchronized with the iCloud‑backed Reminders database via EKEventStore.

Designed for macOS Big Sur (11) and later, the app can be installed through Homebrew or by downloading a signed bundle from the releases page. On first launch it requests the standard system permission to read and write reminders, which can be managed in System Settings. The interface adapts to both light and dark appearance modes.

The project is open source under GPL‑3.0, offers a free tier, and includes multilingual support covering dozens of languages. Contributions are welcomed, and developers can add new translations or improve functionality through the public repository.
