SkyChart

The program generates detailed sky charts using data from sixteen star and nebula catalogs, and it also displays the positions of planets, asteroids and comets. Users can customize which catalogs are included, adjust colors and sizes of objects, choose label and grid options, overlay images, and apply visibility constraints, making it suitable for preparing observation maps.

It runs on macOS, as well as Linux and Windows, and is built with the Lazarus/FreePascal compiler, employing SQLite and MySQL access, TCP/IP networking, XML parsing, and various astronomical calculation libraries for planetary and satellite ephemerides.

The software is released as free, open‑source code, with a stable version 3 and a legacy Windows‑only version 2.76 that is no longer maintained. It targets astronomers and hobbyists who need a configurable celestial atlas beyond basic planetarium tools.
