Slink

Image sharing platform designed to give users complete control over their media sharing experience.

Slink is a self‑hosted image sharing platform that lets individuals and teams store, organize, and distribute pictures without relying on external services. Users can upload a wide range of formats, including PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG, GIF, AVIF and others, with support for parallel multi‑file uploads, compression, and duplicate detection. Images can be grouped into collections, tagged hierarchically, and shared via short URLs that are private by default, with optional password protection and expiration dates. A public browse view and comment system enable community interaction on publicly visible images.

The system provides authentication via email/password and integrates with many SSO/OIDC providers such as Google, Keycloak and Authentik, while also allowing guest uploads and API‑key access for automation. A REST API and native ShareX integration facilitate programmatic uploads and screenshot sharing. Administrators have a dashboard for user and storage management, image moderation, and analytics, and can choose local, SMB, or AWS S3 back‑ends for storage.

Slink targets developers, artists, and anyone who wants full control over image privacy and hosting. It is released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, is free of subscription fees, and can be deployed on‑premises using Docker or traditional installation methods. The platform offers a multilingual UI, dark mode, and extensive documentation to support quick setup and ongoing use.
