Chibisafe

Chibisafe is a self‑hosted file uploader written in TypeScript that provides a straightforward way to store and share files, photos, documents, and other media. Users upload content through a web interface or via API keys, and the service returns a direct, shareable link. It supports public, private, and invite‑only modes, and large files are automatically split into chunks to reduce the impact of network interruptions.

The application includes a built‑in dashboard for configuring limits, accepted extensions, rate limits, metadata, and storage options such as S3. Additional features include albums and folders, snippet/gist creation, file tagging, user quotas, a URL shortener, and integration with tools like ShareX, an iOS shortcut, and a browser extension. All settings can be adjusted from the UI without editing configuration files.

Chibisafe is released under the MIT license, is free of ads and tracking aside from IP logging, and is distributed as a stable, open‑source project. Installation is recommended via Docker, but manual setup is also supported, and migration from earlier versions is documented.
