StackStorm

StackStorm (aka _IFTTT for Ops_) is event-driven automation for auto-remediation, security responses, troubleshooting, deployments, and more. Includes rules engine, workflow, 160 integration packs with 6000+ actions and ChatOps.

StackStorm provides an event‑driven automation platform that reacts to signals from monitoring, ticketing, cloud, and other systems. Users define simple if‑then rules or complex multi‑step workflows that invoke actions such as diagnostics, remediation, deployments, or notifications. The platform includes a rules engine, workflow orchestrator, and a large library of integration packs—over 160 packs delivering more than 6 000 actions—allowing it to interact with existing tools without requiring changes to those tools.

The system is self‑hostable, open‑source under the Apache‑2.0 license, and offered without subscription fees. It runs on 64‑bit Linux and can be installed via a provided script; documentation, community forums, Slack, and a public Exchange site support collaboration and sharing of reusable automations.

Typical users are DevOps engineers, SREs, and security teams who need to automate troubleshooting, auto‑remediation, continuous deployment, and other operational patterns across heterogeneous environments. StackStorm’s extensible sensor and action model lets it integrate with monitoring platforms, cloud providers, CI/CD pipelines, and communication channels such as Slack or JIRA.
