Stargate DAW

Stargate provides a complete digital audio workstation combined with a suite of built‑in instrument and effect plugins, targeting music producers who want an integrated environment without installing additional software. Its pattern‑based workflow, basic wave editor, and modular mixer architecture let users arrange, edit, and route audio and MIDI tracks, with side‑chain routing and the ability to mix and match plugins per track. The system runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux for both x86 and ARM processors, and can operate on low‑spec hardware such as a Raspberry Pi 4 or an older dual‑core laptop, supporting display resolutions from 720p up to 4k.

The software includes a comprehensive set of plugins, a track routing matrix, and a mixer whose channels are themselves plugins, allowing flexible signal processing chains. Audio and MIDI hardware are supported through PortAudio and PortMidi, and an optional portable flash‑drive installation is available for Windows and macOS. All source code is released under the GPL‑3.0 license, enabling redistribution and modification.
