Stump
A fast, free and open source comics, manga and digital book server with OPDS support.
Stump provides a self‑hosted server for managing collections of comics, manga, and digital books. It stores media files, serves them through a web interface, and offers OPDS feeds so compatible readers can browse and download content. The backend is written in Rust using Axum and SeaORM, while the frontend is built with React, delivering a responsive UI with dark‑mode support.
The project targets users who want to run their own library without subscription fees, including hobbyists, small groups, and anyone preferring full control over their media. Docker images and a bare‑metal installation guide make deployment straightforward, and a documented REST API enables external tools to interact with the server.
Key planned features include full OPDS and streaming support, handling of EPUB, PDF, CBZ/CBR formats, collection and reading‑list organization, granular user access control, low resource usage, and multilingual UI. Future extensions aim to add desktop and mobile apps, full‑text search, and configurable book‑club functionality.
