telert
Multi-channel alerts for long-running commands and process/log/uptime monitoring.
Telert is a lightweight command‑line utility that sends notifications when terminal commands or Python scripts finish, and it can also watch processes, log files, and HTTP endpoint uptime. Users can invoke it directly in a shell, pipe output into it, or employ its monitoring subcommands to trigger alerts on patterns such as error strings in logs, high memory usage of a process, or failed health checks of a network service.
The tool supports a range of notification channels, including popular messaging apps (Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord), SMTP email, Pushover for mobile devices, desktop and audio alerts, and generic HTTP endpoints for custom integrations. Configuration is handled via command‑line options or environment variables, and the same functionality is exposed through a Python library and a Docker image.
Telert is intended for developers and operators who need reliable, multi‑channel alerts for long‑running tasks, CI pipelines, remote servers, or any critical process that requires passive monitoring without manual checking. It is distributed as a stable Python package and can be deployed on cloud platforms with one‑click templates.
