Tinkerwell provides an interactive PHP code runner that operates within the context of a web application, allowing developers to write, edit, and execute multi‑line snippets quickly. It offers features such as code completion, history of executions, and the ability to save reusable snippets, effectively acting as a shell for the application while supporting Laravel‑specific constructs like Eloquent models, jobs, and mailables.

The tool can connect to local projects as well as remote environments via SSH, and it works with containers such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Laravel Vapor. Executed code displays results in individual cards, and SQL queries generated in the background are visible, helping developers inspect database interactions and API calls in real time.

Designed for macOS, Tinkerwell aims to shorten the feedback loop for PHP and Laravel developers, making debugging, prototyping, and routine tasks like previewing emails or dispatching jobs more efficient without leaving the IDE.
