CodeRunner

A lightweight editor for macOS that supports writing and executing code in a wide range of languages. It ships with ready‑to‑run configurations for 25 languages and can be extended by adding custom terminal commands, while offering more than 200 syntax modes for accurate highlighting. The built‑in code completion uses fuzzy matching, documentation snippets and ranking to suggest relevant tokens as the user types.

The IDE includes debugging capabilities for over a dozen languages, allowing breakpoints to be set directly in the margin and providing call‑stack inspection, variable inspection and live editing during a debugging session. Inline linting reports syntax errors and common issues as you type, and additional linters can be integrated via simple command specifications.

Beyond language features, the editor provides typical text‑editing tools such as multiple selections, auto‑indent, a documentation sidebar, file navigation, folder‑wide search and replace, quick file opening, customizable key bindings and optional Vim mode, all built on a fast TextMate‑based highlighting engine.
