Tunnelblick

Tunnelblick provides a graphical interface for managing OpenVPN connections on macOS. It bundles the OpenVPN client, OpenSSL, easy‑rsa, and required drivers, allowing users to import configuration files, start and stop tunnels, and view connection status without using the command line. The application supports both Intel and Apple Silicon processors and is notarized for macOS 13 and later.

The software is free and open source, with a focus on privacy: it includes no advertisements, tracking, or logging of user IP addresses. Updates can be obtained through a built‑in mechanism or a mailing list, and both stable and beta releases are offered for users who want newer features while remaining on a supported platform.

Tunnelblick also includes tools for verifying download integrity via SHA256, SHA1, and MD5 hashes, and provides an uninstall option within its utilities panel. Older macOS versions are supported through legacy downloads, and the project maintains a user‑contributed documentation and support community.
