VPN Bypass
Menu bar app to route specific domains and services around your VPN.
VPN Bypass is a macOS menu‑bar utility that automatically directs selected domains and services away from an active VPN, allowing them to use the regular internet connection while other traffic remains protected. It monitors VPN state and network changes, applying bypass routes without user intervention. Users can add custom domains, enable built‑in services such as Telegram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Spotify, and Tailscale, and manage DNS overrides through the hosts file if desired.
The app provides real‑time activity logs, notifications for VPN connect/disconnect events, and route verification via ping tests. Configuration can be imported or exported, and the program can launch at login with automatic DNS refresh to keep domain resolutions up to date. It supports a range of corporate VPN solutions, including GlobalProtect, Cisco, Fortinet, Zscaler, and Cloudflare WARP.
Installation is available via Homebrew cask, direct download of a signed DMG, or building from source with Swift 5.9 on macOS 13 or newer. The software is open source, free to use, and considered stable.
