Wakapi
Tracking tool for coding statistics, compatible with WakaTime.
Wakapi records how much time you spend coding, breaking the data down by project, language, editor, host and operating system. It stores the information locally or in a database of your choice and exposes it through a REST API, allowing you to generate badges, weekly e‑mail reports, leaderboards and other visualisations. The service also offers a Prometheus exporter for metric collection and is compatible with the WakaTime protocol, so existing client tools can send data without modification.
The software is intended for developers who want detailed, self‑hosted coding statistics without relying on a proprietary service. Because it is free, open‑source and released under GPL‑3.0, it can be deployed on personal servers, Docker, Kubernetes or run directly from source, using SQLite by default or MySQL/Postgres when configured. No subscription is required for the core functionality.
Key characteristics include a minimalist design, rapid performance, GDPR‑compliant data handling and optional features such as public leaderboards and README badges. All components are built by developers for developers, emphasizing transparency and extensibility.
