YOURLS
YOURLS is a set of PHP scripts that will allow you to run Your Own URL Shortener. Features include password protection, URL customization, bookmarklets, statistics, API, plugins, jsonp.
YOURLS provides a self‑hosted URL shortening service built from PHP scripts that run on a personal server. It stores shortened links under the user’s own domain, giving full control of the data and allowing password‑protected URLs, custom aliases, and bookmarklet creation for quick shortening from browsers. The system records detailed click statistics, including referrers and geographic information, and exposes a developer API and JSONP support for integration with other tools.
The platform is designed for extensibility through a plugin architecture, with many community‑contributed plugins that add functionality without modifying the core code. All features are available under an MIT license, and the project is maintained as free, open‑source software with no subscription or tiered pricing.
YOURLS targets developers, webmasters, and anyone who wants to run an independent short‑link service while retaining ownership of analytics and branding. Documentation, community discussions, and a collection of plugins are provided to help users from initial setup to advanced customizations.
