AVbeam
Audio file similarity viewer
AVbeam is a macOS‑only application that compares audio files by locating matching segments between a set of source files and a set of target files. Users can drag and drop files into the interface, and the program will analyze each pair, reporting any portions that correspond, even when the matches occur at different time offsets.
The software employs an audio fingerprinting algorithm that works across common formats such as MP3, WAV, OGG, and FLAC. It is designed to remain effective despite noise, frequency filtering, amplification, damping, and other distortions, allowing it to detect similarity in partially overlapping audio content. Results are presented with precise time offsets and a similarity percentage for each matched segment.
AVbeam also includes a waveform viewer with an integrated audio player, enabling users to listen to the identified matches directly within the interface. This combination of multi‑file support, partial‑match detection, and robust handling of varied audio conditions makes it suitable for anyone needing to verify or explore audio similarity across multiple recordings.
