Canon EOS Utility

The software enables a computer to communicate with Canon EOS digital cameras over a USB connection. It allows users to transfer images stored on the camera’s memory card to the computer, adjust a variety of camera settings, and trigger remote shooting directly from the desktop interface. Integration with Canon’s Digital Photo Professional provides additional workflow options.

It supports a broad range of EOS models, including the R series, M series, and many DSLR and mirrorless cameras, and is available for Windows 11 and macOS versions 13‑15. The program requires a standard USB port, a modest CPU and RAM, and a display resolution of at least 1024 × 768.

The interface is localized in multiple languages such as English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese (Simplified), Russian, Korean, and Turkish, making it accessible to an international user base. The software is distributed as a compressed installer that can be extracted and run on the supported operating systems.
