Code Composer Studio (CCS)

Code Composer Studio is an integrated development environment for Texas Instruments microcontrollers, processors, wireless connectivity devices, and radar sensors. It bundles a source‑code editor, C/C++ compiler, project build system, debugger, profiler and other utilities needed to create, analyze and optimize embedded applications. The IDE runs on Windows, Linux and macOS, and is also offered as a cloud‑based service that eliminates the need for large local installations.

The environment incorporates AI‑driven features that allow standard agents and models to assist with code generation, system configuration and debugging. Integrated documentation supplies the context required for the AI to operate, while real‑time validation with SysConfig helps resolve conflicts and errors automatically. Users can interact with these AI capabilities through the familiar Eclipse Theia interface, which shares components with VS Code, and a separate VS Code extension is available for selected TI devices.

Designed for both beginners and experienced engineers, the IDE provides a structured workflow that guides developers through each stage of embedded software creation, leveraging familiar tools and a unified interface to streamline development across TI’s hardware portfolio.
