Docuseal

Create, fill, and sign digital documents (alternative to DocuSign).

The platform lets users create PDF forms with a visual field builder, then distribute them for online filling and electronic signing on any device. It supports a range of field types such as signatures, dates, checkboxes and file uploads, and can handle multiple signers per document. Documents can be stored locally or on cloud services, and the system can send automated emails via SMTP and verify signatures automatically.

It is aimed at individuals, businesses and developers who need a self‑hosted, open‑source alternative to commercial e‑signature services. The software is free under the AGPL‑3.0 license, offers a mobile‑optimized web interface in several languages, and provides an API and webhooks for integration with custom applications. Optional features include white‑labeling, user roles, SSO/SAML, bulk sending, and embedded signing widgets for popular front‑end frameworks.

Deployment is designed to be quick, with Docker images, Docker Compose files, and one‑click installers for cloud platforms such as Heroku, Railway, DigitalOcean and Render. The core application can run with SQLite, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and it includes user management and language support for signing in multiple locales.
