The application provides a graphical interface for exploring and manipulating a repository’s commit history. It presents a single‑branch view that can be toggled to show only the selected branch, and offers fullscreen mode, tabbed repository switching, and multiple visualizations such as diff, tree, and blame views. Users can stage or unstage individual lines, amend commits, resolve rebase conflicts, and apply tags or commit‑message templates directly from the UI.

Support for multiple languages is built in, with the system language used by default and the option to override it via an environment variable. The client includes features like dynamic line wrapping, starring of commits for quick retrieval, and shortcuts for staging, unstaging, and reverting changes.

The software is distributed as binary packages for Windows, macOS, and Linux (Flatpak) and can also be built from source. It is maintained by volunteers, with community support channels on Stack Overflow and Matrix, and a public issue tracker for bug reports.
