gowall
Extract image color pallet, recolor images/icon and more.
Gowall is a command‑line utility for manipulating images and icons through a variety of operations. It can recolor wallpapers and SVG or ICO icons to match predefined or custom color schemes, extract dominant palettes, and apply transformations such as inversion, mirroring, flipping, grayscale, brightness adjustment, and pixel‑art conversion. The tool also supports image compression, format conversion, background removal, and drawing of borders or grids.
In addition to visual editing, Gowall provides OCR capabilities for images and PDFs using multiple providers, and it can upscale images with AI‑based methods. Users can pipe data through standard input and output, generate animated GIFs from frame sequences, and preview images directly in the terminal. A collection of themes—including Catppuccin, Dracula, Nord, and many others—can be listed and customized via configuration files.
The software is stable, documented with visual examples, and distributed as a binary for Unix‑like systems, allowing integration into scripts or manual use through its rich set of flags and commands.
