wallpaper-cli
Get or set the desktop wallpaper.
The tool provides a command‑line interface for retrieving the current desktop background and assigning a new one. It accepts local image files, remote URLs, or solid color specifications, and can apply a scaling method such as auto, fill, fit, stretch, or center where supported. The command works across macOS, Linux, and Windows, with the scaling option limited to macOS.
Typical usage involves invoking the program with a path, URL, or color value, optionally adding a `--scale` flag to control how the image fits the screen. The help flag displays available commands and options, and the package can be installed globally via npm.
This utility is stable and intended for users who need to script wallpaper changes or integrate background updates into automated workflows on multiple operating systems. It complements the related `wallpaper` API package.
