Headset is a desktop music player that streams audio from YouTube and aggregates tracks from Reddit communities. It lets users search for songs, create personal collections, follow YouTube playlists, and maintain a “listen later” list, while also offering Reddit‑based radio stations that surface popular tracks from genre‑specific subreddits. The client supports macOS, Windows, and Linux, provides dark and light visual themes, and includes one‑click scrobbling to Last.fm. User credentials and cookies are transmitted over SSL, and a cloud‑based sync feature restores a library across multiple machines. The application is open source, allowing inspection of its core code, and offers optional paid tiers for additional features such as uninterrupted skips and advanced party‑shuffle mixing.
