iChm

The application provides a native macOS reader for Microsoft Compiled HTML Help (CHM) files, allowing users to open and navigate such documents without external tools. It supports tabbed browsing, full‑text search with relevance sorting, in‑page find, and an index with searchable entries. Users can switch text encodings, zoom content, and use back, forward, and home navigation, while the current location is automatically highlighted in the table of contents.

Additional capabilities include tag‑based bookmarking, exporting an entire CHM file to PDF, and multilingual interface support for Chinese, German, Spanish, and Dutch. The program is built with Cocoa, offering a streamlined window and rendering performance, and requires macOS 10.6 or later (with a separate older version for macOS 10.5). An iPhone/iPod Touch version is also available through the Apple App Store.

The project is released under a BSD license with attribution requirements, and the source code can be built using Xcode 5.1 or newer on macOS 10.9 (Mavericks) and later.
